I recently tried F1 Facepulling and holy shit I felt my maxilla so fucking much. My only concern is that the amount you can do it is unrealistic.

For reverse facepull headgear its used for 16+ hours daily w/1kg total, so what if I just apply 5-10kg per thumb thumbpulling 1 hour a day for similar results instead of ultra high load short duration with facepulling

The problem about manual orthodontics is that the reason why ortho (expander/braces) works is because it applies force or hold 24/7. Replicate the hold 24/7 and then you will see gains after 6 months.

Assuming bone shifting did work like this, what would happen if you accidentally push at a slight angle for that one hour and mess up the placement of everything?
But the reality is to change the alignment or placement of bones you need controlled, sustained force to make any change. Thats why braces are on 24/7 and DO cause calculated change. Your variable force that is controlled by your energy level and interpretation of exertion will not do anything to your bones.
