You won’t see major regrowth on fin, it’s only for maintaining what you have and saving hair before it’s too far gone. If he has thinning all over min can help but he probably has some kind of health issue unrelated to MPB, then again he could also just be balding aggressively.

This, fin works far better for maintenance than regrowth, OP need minoxidil (oral or topical) and potentially microneedling
