Narcissism is a form of psycho social dominance. The narcissist inherently feels more valuable than others because they are inherently more dominant and feel they deserve a bigger piece of the pie. Thus a good way to become a narcissist is to actually increase your dominance in the world such that you inherently feel you aren’t getting as much as you deserve due to your specialness in relation to others.

I was always rather narcissistic but I got really narcissistic after I started improving myself because I would walk around and feel like most people were beneath me.
