Seriously, what is up with all the animosity the Turks have towards non-refugee expats and tourists anyways?

Some videos made by people living in Istanbul Turkey from Canada, America etc showed up on my feed and the vitriol in the comment section from the turks really surprised me because these people were professionals and not some bomb shelter refugee motherfucka from Syria or something, they were paying their way and contributing their fair share and more.

Turkey is actually a beautiful country, especially in Izmir and anatalya. There’s a reason why Turkey is the 6th most visited country in the world and might overtake Italy for the 5th spot in the next 5 years. I recommend you visit before making preconceived notions

Also, when was the last time Turks were “refugees”? They haven’t been in a full out war in several decades. Stop mistaking Turks for afghans and Syrians
