It was mandatory for elementary schools to watch tapes of this educational TV series, about a female main character whose mission is to find letters so she can learn how to spell. The show had a villain who tried to stop her in her quests. His name was Karbonkel. He gave lots of children nightmares because those watching this were between 6 and 9 year old when we were forced to watch this, yours truly included. This is Karbonkel.

I think they’ve stopped showing this to kids and if they haven’t, respectfully - what the fuck?

Brutal looks pill. I was scared of the wicked witch of the west when forced to watch the wizard of oz in class. I grew out of it quickly tho

So this is what a first world problems looks like? The education system used to complete shit. Back in my school days the syllabus was brutal. We were stuck ith outdated textbooks, some written decades ago, yet the CBSE board (India's) would ask us questions that were straight out of an engineering exam. Imagine trying to solve advanced calculus and physics problems with study material that barely scratched the surface. CBSE textbooks did get updated a few years back but the level of questions being asked even now is unnecessarily too difficult for some kid who is 14-15 years old.
