Settling for girls

I've literally never made it out of a single talking stage and I'm starting to consider just settling for someone that I don't necessarily want just to cure the isolation. At the same time, I've been single for this long so I might as well wait until I get what I'm looking for. It's cool just doing what I need to do/want during the day but sitting by myself in my room at night for as many years in a row as I have now is starting to get to me. I can't even imagine being an uncle to my sister's kids and showing up to family gatherings by myself. But if I'm waking up next to a girl that I really don't have much interest in, I don't see the benefits other than having someone to talk to.
