Why is sex such a taboo concept but also one of the biggest talking points of modern media? I think it's obvious sex sells, but why is being a virgin such a weird thing. Sexual people online get shunned off as whores but those who are sexual offline get praised. And it's typically the opposite with virgins. There's also a very obvious connection between being a virgin and ephebophilia. Young girls or young presenting women call themselves virgin to get the attention of older men who seek a pure woman because there is power associated with being a woman's first. Looking into the comments on any "freshly 18" girl's post will show this. Men typically prefer young women because they are the most fertile and women prefer older men because they can provide. Sex today however is not about having a child and being infatuated with one another. It's reduced to a euphoric feeling with someone you can tolerate for an hour and find attractive. Sex is a beautiful thing, but I think being a virgin shouldn't be frowned upon and shouldn't be infantilised. This is very much a "schizopost" and probably doesn't make much sense but I've had this thought.

Agree with it all
To answer your question, it’s easier to shame when it isn’t face to face

Also, Lust has been normalised.
“Gold diggers” get shamed but wanting a partner purely based on how they look (league system, looksmatched titkok couples, etc) is encouraged.

Your exterior is as much you as your money is

Being a gold digger is not inherently bad in my opinion
