China is getting closer to humanoid sex robots
A realistic AI sex robot will only appeal to men.
For women, a male bot would be little more than an extension of a dildo, and maybe a place to vent if he has Al to "listen. But unlike a real man, presumably these bots wouldn't bring in an income to cipher from. Nor a status, nor other resources. Unless they get incorporated into OF, I guess. No payouts from divorce, no child support.
Whereas men could see female bots as anything from a sex toy, all the way to a companion if they have Al in them, to give affection and love to, even artificially. It's why Al chat bots are popular now.
They don't even need bodies. The Al freely gives compliments, support, a proverbial shoulder to cry on, etc. Normal things in a loving relationship that a lot of women withhold or refuse to give outright. And if nothing else, the Al won't constantly degrade and dehumanize the men over the littlest things either.
Unlike for women, the inability for the female bots to make an income won't be a factor either. Men often marry women of lower status or entry level jobs, like a waitress or cashier. Because it's what the women give, not what they earn, that matters. And no matter how expensive a bot may be to start, since it's pushed that men pay for everything for women anyway, it'll still end up cheaper in the long run, another factor people forget.
