I don't think we above our animalistic instincts and feelings but at the same time I doubt that it is the sole driver especially in regards to art, art in my opinion does have a huge personal factor to it, artists get attatched to their art and treat it as an extension of their inner world, same thing with composers/muscians (musician as in before the 90s as by then it was purely monitized and monopolized by companies)
