Sfs ≠ smile

I have been looking at people's smiles and I have found out that smile sometimes cannot tell if whether the person has sfs or not

Look at Sean O'Malley the ufc fighter, he has the typical sfs smile but does not have a short face at all infact It might be a long face.

Another example. Randy Orton...

Look at his smile he is barely showing any upper teeth. So what makes short face short? Or do these guys just have a short maxilla but longer lower third that harmonizes their face and makes them alright looking?

What do you guys think? I can provide more examples that proves that smile sometimes can't tell whether a person has sfs or not
