Whenever i shave my facial hair (by facial hair i mean a few strands scattered across my sides and chin) i notice that my skin becomes ''whiter'', in fact people have pointed this out whenever i shave and not just me, ive seen it happen to my friend as well.
anyone know why this is?

I'd imagine it's just the follicles casting a shadow over your face. when I grow out a stubble my skin/face looks quite a bit darker as well.

while you're shaving, the dead skin and dirt, oil, and build ups in ur face are getting scrape too that's why u appear fresher and lighter
