If you're talking about intercession, it is on the Day of Judgement where some righteousness believers and the Prophet ﷺ will be given permission by Allah Himself.

Your argument is flawed. The Quran (3:169) says martyrs are alive with their Lord. Ali (AS) is a martyr, meaning he is alive in a way beyond our understanding. The Prophet (PBUH) spoke to the people in the graves after Badr (Sahih Muslim 2874) (sunni book) proving the dead can hear by Allah’s will.

Also, you claim asking the dead for help is shirk because they can't hear but that logic contradicts the Quran. Prophet Sulaiman (AS) commanded the wind and jinn, even though they were beyond normal human perception (27:17-19). If seeking help from the unseen was shirk, then making du'a itself would be shirk, since we can’t see Allah (swt).
