I also got semi-shitty calf genetics, doing calf raises + tibialis raises once a week for years has helped me a lot though. Now they are pretty decent in socks, shoes, completely filling out top part of lower legs of pants etc. If I am barefoot they still look bit skinny halfway down but not horrible.

Just do some quality calf raises to failure at least once a week and they should improve a fair amount at least. I usually do mine at home in stairs with bodyweight and one leg at a time to failure, don't really need extra weight when you can do them one leg at a time especially. Focus on holding the stretch a few seconds on the bottom, squeeze at the top and doing slow negatives. Tibialis raises helps your calves look better and more 3D from the front and front-side sort of, prevents shin splints from random shit too.

I train legs once a week and they are pretty damn huge for a natty, just do high reps on everything to failure and it is easy and time effective as fuck without being much painful. I do belt machine squats 16-24~ reps for a couple of sets to failure, some deadlifting and then every leg isolation machine to failure circa 20-30~ reps sometimes bit more. (Leg extensions/leg curls/hip abductor and hip adductor machines). Then additional hip flexors from training abs on hanging upside down sit-ups station + leg-hip raises to failure afterwards. Works great and I never feel tortured doing this.

I also do a little bit of SLDLs and elevated glutes bridges on another day but that is more for a back injury rehab and only something I added recently, not much or any responsible for my current legs mass. Does add bit extra glutes + hamstrings work though but not necessary unless you want even fatter glutes and again not responsible for my current state anyway lol. (And yes women find glutes on men to be very sexy, have had women stare and gossip about my ass)

Leg day doesn't have to be painful or high volume if you are smart and stick to higher reps and maximum quality form on reps and going to failure. I'd say my weekly legs routine in the gym takes 30-40 minutes max, I also do lots of upper body stuff that day too especially chest/shoulders/back and my whole workout takes like 1 h 5-10 minutes lol.
