#1 thing the old man was in the wrong.

You don’t run to a man face to face & not expect physical confrontation. Either he was ignorant (doubtful) or he was wishing an excuse to squeeze his gun. It seems the latter because he unequally moved to deadly weapon in a fist fight. Not only that, but he deliberately attempted murder muliple times even after the puncher collapsed & unable to defend.

#2 the young puncher was a victim but also wrong.

I understand the anger of being near hit by a car & the fact the driver had the aggression to run up on you… but you don’t push the altercation. He shouldn’t have punched the old man but I also think his advantage might’ve pushed him to do it. He thought it could it end a simple fight/wrestle altercation but unfortunately he did not account for the blood lust intent of the old man.
