Shorting a stock (short selling) is a trading strategy used to profit from a decline in a stock's price, effectively betting against a company
Investors borrow shares they do not own, sell them at the current high price, and aim to buy them back later at a lower price to return to the lender.

So bet on the decline of the stock.

Bank wouldn't let me transfer to crypto exchange. :FEelsBadMan:

I was even begging these niggers on the customer support, to let the transaction go through.

Opening a new bank account, hopefully won't block me again. Fuck this blackrock/vanguard owned corporation.

I'm a precise guy. I don't make these calls very often. I can't predict the future, but I can make good bets. This one paid off.

I try to put in risk limits as soon as possible. When I suffer huge losses, I stomach them.

But the only way to make money is through convexity. Cap your downside, leave your upside open.

What happens most of the time is, I could be up thousands, and I DONT take profit, then I give it all back; but I don't lose CAPITAL.

If I trade emotionally, price could move against me fast, then I take a huge hit.

But most of this is just practice. It's not even to make money. It's to keep taking asymmetric bets with non-linear payoff while avoiding ruin. That's it.

And my trading bankroll is a very small portion of my actual net worth. If you are using actual reserves for trading, it's over.

Only way to make it out of the trenches, realistically.

I (no joke, no LARP) made $xxxK in 2023 through a multi-month Solana trade, where I entered at around $16. Price went up over $240 and I pyramided leverage up and increased the position at the trend developed. Managed my risk so to ride out intra trend volatility, and eventually took profit (not actively), but when volatility rose versus the strength of the trend as the price action started exhausting.

Compound your home runs. I think people need to study risk taking. You cannot predict tail event, so you should not model a level where you take profit, that's always concave and not +EV when you map risk taking as a continuous exercise.

If you take asymmetric bets while keeping risk of ruin always ~0, you will eventually get rich.
