Short woman dating tall men isn't necessarily hypergamy (my thoughts)

I don't think short women and tall men dating is necessarily hypergamy, for a relationship to work both needs interest in eachother. Both need to connect on a deeper level. Every girl I ever dated was below 5'5, even though I do have a preference of wanting someone atleast 5'10. But guess what I used to talk to a girl who was 5'10 and in my life that's the only time I have ever blocked a women. This is also true for other guys just because they are tall doesn't mean they can also get a tall woman, the short girls which are ofc the most common of the population, you have a higher chance of enjoying talking to them , they maybe more interesting too.

whats your overarching point? because i think its hypergamy if a short woman (5 feet) only has the capacity of finding 6 feet tall men attractive, even though theres significantly less of them and the equivalent of a 5 feet man is a 5'3-5'4 man

I do think there's a little truth to it, but most women who are superficial about height don't find a good partner, the ones who are indeed finding a tall man is most likely because there's a connection between them. By connection I mean just someone who you can be yourself with and talk

i suppose you are correct, although women are more likely to deem taller men as more attractive. just having a genuine connection and having genuine desire from a woman is the easier the taller you are

Yeah I saw a post on tiktok where the dude was 7 feet and woman was 5 feet, I know it's bad. And the comments were hating on her. But just because that dude is 7 feet he can't just be in a relationship with anyone he wants even if he can , would they both have a relationship where they be their true self with eachother. The 5 feet girl might be the one he gets along the best with.
