Shorten hair or grow out hair

I thought keeping long hair on all sides would make my appeal go higher and so it looks better on my face but my girlfriend said she liked more when sides are short
First pic is btw when i put my hair in a straight line on the sides and second i did nothing with it

Yeah its the same size but I was wondering if cut the sides on a taper fade would look me better I always used a taper fade but honestly growing out looks better since i always wear hat outside

Do you mean the front is to short? Like i have a receding hairline and my mom cut my hair last time and one side is shorter then the other because the other receding hairline is bigger then the other. Also this is my hair like 1 year ago when it used to be way shorter

You need to grow your hair out evenly. If your hair is not even right now and buzz it all off- then when you regrow it use things like minoxidl maybe, rosemary and peppermint oil, massaging your hair daily to stimulate focciles, certain supplements involved in hair although if you eat good you should be fine, no harmful shampoos , thing's like hair masks etc to keep it healthy. If your receding/balding hop on oral finasteride
