Shortening Philtrum?

Spoiler: I don’t speak Russian and so I don’t know why the precedure was performed and what the patient was trying to achieve. However the nose-lips distance is shorter now and a piece of the philtrum got removed.


Is has space of improvements this surgery (imo). The scarring seems bad

i would only recommend this if they hide the scar inside your mouth somehow

I don’t think it’s possible. Since it’s done on the lips line, once healed gonna looks much better. Plus since it’s performed by Andreishchev I don’t think it was an optimal suture

I don’t even know what kind of surgery is that. Maybe it’s a liplift with a different approach afaik.

Brought up the result since many buddy boyos here are looking for a way to shorten their philtrums

Actually that’s probably a lip lift but instead of removing skin from the nose side it’s removed near the lips @sandcelmuttcel

philtrum reduction surgery is pointless without the entire mouth moving upwards. Sure on paper based on how its measured your mid face ratio will be better but you'll still look like long midface since the mouth is in the same position.

No it isn't.

It reduces the philtrum length while concurrently lengthening the upper lip length/size, improving harmony

It still vastly benefits a lot of people and improves chin/philtrum ratio
