Should a beta-carotene glow be supplemented with a sun tan?

Finally getting my beta-carotene glow after ~2 months of taking. To what degree, if it all, should I supplement it with a normal sun tan.

I’m trying to maintain as much collagen as possible into middle age, but I’d also like good coloring now.
