The other day, someone here asked if I considered myself a good enough role model to be in front of a classroom. To be honest, I thought it was a very loaded question. I mean, the teacher’s job, first and foremost, is to teach.

And how would you define a good role model anyway? I’m not some inspiring figure, I’m pretty dang boring. So, I don’t think I’m a good role model. But during my studies as a teacher, they’re pretty much trying to mold me into one. So, even if I am not one right now, I might become one by the time I’m done with my studies.

One of my teachers told us that the university changed the curriculum for the first year because they had American students who said the stuff first-year students are learning is something last-year students in the US are learning about. That was eye-opening for them, so they changed it.
