I found this thread:
Highest IQ thread to understand human size
And it honestly makes a lot of sense.
I just turned 15 years old, around 5'7 (170cm) and 112lbs (51kg). I’m still in puberty and want to maximize my height before my growth plates close. The thread talks about using mechanical stress like sprinting, jumping, deadhangs, and even impact from running to stimulate bone growth while also eating in a calorie surplus with high protein and high sugar to fuel that growth.
Right now, I’m not tracking calories or anything like that. I’m just keeping a simple, healthy diet and eating plenty of protein. I do sprints and jumping rope regularly. I’m not doing weights yet because the thread says it might slow vertical growth by splitting recovery. I’m also thinking about taking some supplements like D3+K2, magnesium glycinate, zinc, etc.
My question is, is this really worth going all in on? Has anyone here actually gotten results with this method?
Also, I’m wondering if it’s really worth it to increase my body fat to grow taller. Like, I know I might get a bit “ugly” or chubby, but maybe it’s worth it if I can grow more? Has anyone here done that? How much of a calorie surplus should I aim for to actually see growth without getting too fat?
I’m doing my own research, but if anyone has personal experience or good advice, feel free to share. I’m open to other opinions too.
Help and thanks!!
