Calculus is actually the easiest part of maths believe it or not. Or one of the easiest.

i couldn’t even pass algebra in high school
I always liked maths. It was my best subject but I’m not necessarily very talented at it.

I think because I got some small dopamine hits when I solved a problem compared to day completing an essay. I hated writing essays

What exactly is mathematical engineering ?

Isn’t it just better to study one of the main engineering disciplines like Civil, electrical, mechanical ect ? Wouldn’t it be easier for jobs ?

just be a quant theory

It gets harder with PDEs but before then its pretty self explanatory IMO
yeah agreed id unironically say english is the hardest class for me personally

I'm considering going into quant, as I'm directly in a quant pipeline and my resume is stacked for the role. But everyone is super autistic, and I can't see myself working with those people for 50+ hour weeks.

I know it sounds confusing, but it is super close to applied math, in my country most engineerings or physics related STEM careers last for about 6 years and are prepared to work in the mining industry, so most engineers have the "civil" surname aside from their actual specialization

First everyone has 2 years of "Civil" engineering then for the rest of the career which is 3 to 4 years you go into whatever, this is in the best Uni of south america for Math, in others it is more similar to standard american unis
