Should i be worried about this air purifier?

I bought an air purifier and started using it. Almost overnight a bunch of fat flies spawned out of nowhere. Now the kicker is that these flies are really fat and slow, almost retarded like. Like you can smack them easily with your hand and they just land on lights. They dont really bother me and im wondering if they are premature of something. If this air purifier is doing this to flies, do you think its bad for humans?
