Bombay is a bigger shithole, with shit food, ugly people, shit weather, but people are less pretentious and has some GL people cos they move there to become stars and end up as hookers or waiters.

Delhi has more history, slightly better infra, terrible people, but better food and people are naturally better looking.

. Since u will be much enthusiastic in the start of your journey, u must try to experience newer sort of location. Try to experience the corners(border states) of country first cause they have much better things to provide in terms of experience. Like north south and east . The bulk part of india doesnt have better things imo. Exploring , rajasthan and then some south indian states , and the east places like bengal , assam.

visit southern india, probably the one somewhat slightly developed part of india, with an hdi above 0.800, clean streets (for indian standards mind you), less polluted and crowded, more greenery, better beaches and probably the only place in the south asian subcontinent worth visitng.
