I really want to take my mum on the holiday with me. My halal girlfriend only booked me, her, my dad and her dad on the flight. I could see Mum's disappointment in her face when they didn't invite her and I want to invite her but I'm worried my girlfriend's father may not want her around as he was also responsible for the planning.

What do I do?

Yes, you should not even have to ask such a question Zhang.

I'm going to sleep so

If her mums around - its easy you book the tickets for both your mums and tell her lets make it a family vacation.

If her mum is not you book for your mom and tell her that you don't want your mum to stay alone at home, besides that your mums wanting to meet your girl and know more about her.

Easy.

I've asked my GF who is next to me how much it would cost for 1 person and 2 people.

If I take my mum, it would cost an extra £1800.
If I take both my mum and her mum, it would cost an extra £2700.

For two = profit.

Take them.

£2700 is the better deal than £1800? That's flights (including three domestic ones which are very cheap, £36 per flight she said) AND hotel.

It could be nice to go in a smaller company, and then book something with ur moms or with the full-group another time.

When you are a huge group, full families, both mom and dad, etc. The vibe is ofcourse going to be different than when you just bring your dads. It can get more socially intimate this way, your dads can get to know eachother better, you can think of different things to do when you are a smaller group. Easier logistics.

If I were you I would have a conversation with your girlfriend's dad who booked it, and ask him why he thought it was better this way. And discuss it with him.

This whole thing doesn't have to be anything bad, but could actually be good. There's enough time in your life to also bond with your mother and her mother. Sometimes less is more.

100% just for the vibe.

If you dont take her mom, its just going to be weird.

I asked ChatGPT:

Option 1: £2700 for two people (your mom and your girlfriend's mom)

  • Cost per person: £1350
Option 2: £1800 for one person (either your mom or your girlfriend's mom)

  • Cost per person: £1800
Comparing the two options, it's clear that Option 1 is still the better deal in terms of cost per person. Each person would pay £1350, which is lower than the individual cost of £1800 in Option 2.

Considering this, Option 1 would be more cost-effective for your situation as it allows both moms to share the expenses and reduces the overall cost per person.

Yea either arrange for both moms to go or none but you arrange something for them in town.

But since you asked your gf already just take them both but after you consult her dad like Mogger said.

Yeah. If her dad made arrangements to go without the mom, it's clear this is something you should discuss with him 1on1.

You want your mom there, don't want her to be left-out. But I would keep an open-mind and also accept an option where you go in smaller company. Would be good to hear what your gf's dad thinks

Yes, he's not going to say no.

Its just a courtesy since they planned this trip.

OK, I asked her dad and he said he didn't want to spend too much, but I can go ahead and pay for Mum's and her mum's ticket.
It will cost £2762 for their tickets and hotels in total.

I understand his perspective, but I believe it would be more enjoyable and provide a great opportunity to strengthen your bond if you all went together. So, my suggestion would be to cover the cost of the tickets.

What do I do?

She invited only your dad because she wants to fuck him lol!
