So i’ve struggled with acne ever since i hit puberty (5+ years)
No amount of “normal skincare” has ever worked (cleansers, moisturizers, serums)
The only thing that’s ever kind of worked was when i almost didn’t eat for like a year in a row, but im obviously not doing that again.
I started skincare again about a month ago as im using minoxidil for brows and beard (CeRave SA smoothing cleanser, and The ordinary NMF + HA moisturizer every night)
This is the current state of my skin:
I’m switching to CeRave foaming cleanser, as i think the Salicylic Acid every night might be what’s fucking up my skin barrier and breaking me out.
But i don’t think any of this is ever gonna work without an active anti-acne treatment.
Besides accutane which i don’t think my case is severe enough to start taking, my research concludes that adapalene would be the best option.
The adapalene i’m considering buying is this one:
If anyone has experience with this, or tips on what else i could do for my skin, i would really appreciate it
