I'm still undecided on sock lifts, most people who've tried them say they're not practical. Maybe 2 cm max, and then 3 cm lifts so you can fraud 5 cm without being worried of getting caught with your shoes off (as most people won't notice 3 cm of change). But for this height increase I'd say it's ridiculous, it'll be too obvious.
