I am staying in the DC area for now but talk with a Brooklyn accent like Danny DeVito. (my family is from Brooklyn)
I think that has alienated me from my peers who tend to talk in a Valley accent kinda like this:

-Should I try to talk like that? (Frankly most normies sound like retards tho)

Your accent will make 0 difference in how people interact with you

if anything it’s your stand out feature/conversation piece

the only time an accent can actually be bad is if it’s like a heavy indian accent or some shit
