If u did they probably wouldve diagnosed u by now. Many ppl, esp those with pre-existing anxiety or mental disorders, will have periods where they experience low grade symptoms. Often it comes from a feeling that they lack agency in their current state of life. Fulfilling these habits provide the illusion of control and stability, when there otherwise may not be

No I never got it checked because i dont wanna bring it up to my parents the only person I have ever told is a ocd help and support thingy and they said I probably have it but I dont even know how I could bring it up to my parents

Yeah ik but usually when u go to a psychiatrist they will do stuff to assess whether or not u express symptoms, regardless of if they suspect u have it or not
