Should I convince my parents to pay for palate expansion

I have had dental problems my whole life and I have recently come to the conclusion that I have a narrow palate. I have trouble having proper tongue posture, my bottom teeth lean in to fit into my upper jaw and I have breathing problems when I sleep. I am not recessed, at least not significantly recessed. I have a pretty good lower third, but my mid face sucks dick and so does my under eyes support. I have had braces before and they did nothing with my palate so I’m sure it isn’t super narrow, just a little bit. I’m 18 so I know no surgical options are unlikely to work, is this worth the money and does it actually ascend you.

Well first off, that very much depends on if your palate is actually narrow or if it's just your perception. If you want the most accurate response you should probably provide a photo of your upper palate and front profile

I did have late puberty, I alr need mouth surgery and ortho has put it off because they say my jaw isn’t gonna be done growing till like 22. Idk if that’s normal tho
