Should i correct my overbite

I overheard my dentist once saying I have 5% overbite, which im assuming isn’t too bad. I was thinking of getting braces or Invisalign or smth, but I heard they can mess up ur face and shit. Should I get braces or no? I’ve never been made fun of for overbite but maybe thats because I rarely show my teeth.

Wouldn't the maxilla get affected negatively when the teeth gets dragged back? They are connected to the bone. Also whether or not the maxilla will get slightly recessed the upper lip support for sure won't be as good and that will be bad for most people. Am I wrong?
