yeah do it, be careful with your eyes and take proper precautions. I just apply clear mascara that I had previously dipped the brush into a black mascara. Saw that tip on YouTube by some Asian guy, so it darkens them without looking like you are wearing mascara. Goes on thin and you can layer it without any problem.
