I have a real passion for music but I know it’s not stable or certain to work out so should I follow what i love that could really workout but it could also fail miserably or should I go for a regular job with a more stable outcome

honestly do whatever makes you happy. the worst thing that could happen is that you end up as a cashier for a year or two to land on your feet again.

ill be dropping out of school to travel around the world soon, i can always go back if i want to

Yeah. Happiness is hard to come by in this world, so you shouldn't neglect anything out there that provides it.

Don't place all the importance on outcomes, though. Just work on sustaining that happiness.
