Should I get 3 premolars extracted

Ortho asked if I wanted 2 premolars on the bottom and 1 premolar extracted and like a dumbass I said yes. Should I continue with the extractions and if no what should I do?

Do you have breathing issues? If so, use it to leverage it against them. Tell them you're concerned about recession from the extractions & retraction. Premolar extraction is just a really bad camouflage solution to a problem that can be resolved in a much better way for both aesthetics and function, it's really archaic and unneeded.

Why do they want to remove the premolars? I assume to alleviate crowding or to retract the lower arch to match the upper yes? How's your palate?

My palate is a tad bit narrow since I couldn’t do the full expander term and they want to extract them to bring the bottom back and have my smile line go back to the middle

the maxilla/mandible don't get recessed from extractions it's only the alveolar ridge and this leads to loss in volume for soft tissue - it doesnt contribute to basal maxilla recession

How big is the underbite? In my opinion I'd avoid getting the extractions and instead save up for an expander and bimax to tackle the root of the problem instead of just camouflaging it. Of course, this would be a very costly and timely endeavor and your parents would probably be very pissed so it's up to you. It's a difficult decision to make.

Ask him about IPR (Inter-Proximal Reduction), maybe you could create space that way.
