Should I get a perm?

This is my natural hair, as you can see it's kinda curly but mostly just dry, frizzy and hard to manage. I want to grow it out but it's getting worse the longer it gets and I look ugly af with short hair so I'm wondering if a perm would be worth it?

I say learn to take care of your hair type and keep it growing until long.
At least people could refer to you as "that long curly haired guy" instead of "that ugly loser".
