Should I get a sales job?

I'll have to switch jobs later this year and I am thinking about something with sales. Not even necessarily because of the pay but more so the skills you develop with that kind of job. Seems like having sales skills would be helpful in nearly all other fields, people are social creatures and the more you move up the corporate ladder, the better you need to "handle" people.

Go for it, it will be painful and cringe in the beginning but once you get the right flow it will be easy, then you can use those social skills outside of work.
