Should I get Beta carotene or vitamine A directly?

There are two types of supplements I can get:
1) - Normal Beta carotene, which is then transformed to Vitamin A inside my body.
2) - Get Vitamin A directly.

The problem with the latter is apparently that you can overdose if you're not careful and damage your liver, so I think I should get beta carotene.
But I don't know what works better for skin. Thoughts?

just eat liver once a week , and too much beta carotene can fuckedup your thyroid

Just eat a healthy diet that includes carrots & sweet potatoes and liver

I already eat 2 carrots a day currently. But I thought that maybe More = better.
But you think I don't need extra beta carotene for skin? I heard it's very good.

raw or coocked? raw is less beta carotene but better for gut health
