I talked to my aunt (dentist for over 25 years) about getting bimax or regular jaw surgery. she said there was no need for me to and that i’m beautiful (obv family biased:lul:) and that if i wanted any surgery i should get chin implants. my orthopaedic as been working on my overbite for the last 5 years and it’s still bad. what do y’all think?

If you’re a bimax candidate go for it

It doesn’t matter anyway, your side profile isn’t the reason you’re on this forum it’s definitely your front. You look depressed and tired, kind of old likely because of the nasolabial folds so I’d probably look into that instead of bimax aka the most overrated surgery for aesthetics

and to op yes you 100% need bimax, will ascend you a lot. dont get chin implants

(you meant orthodontist, and not orthopaedist, right ?)

Listen, your case is pretty straightforward : your maxilla is a bit recessed, your mandible is even more recessed, while your chin is fine (good forward projection). The mandibular recession causes the overbite and the visual impression of a weak chin from the side.

You certainly do not need a chin implant. It would not fix the mandibular recession.
You do not need another 5 years of ineffective treatment either.

The procedure that most likely suits your needs is a bimax. A complementary genioplasty will be necessary to adjust your chin's forward & downward projection (from the front, your chin lacks a substantial amount of vertical height).

If you want to commit to looksmaxxing and be objectively good-looking (not just to your relatives), you'll need more procedures after the bimax. In fact, you'll need to combine both softmaxxing (skin care, etc.) & hardmaxxing (surgeries).

Start off with softmaxxing :
1- fill in your eyebrows with minoxidil + microneedling ;
2- clear your skin with accutane, tretinoin, isotretinoin, etc. (take some time to do your own research on every molecule, weigh up their pros and cons) ;
3- if bimax doesn't fix your nasolabial folds entirely, treat them with PDO threads, microneedling, or whatever else may work.
4- use Visine, Lumify, etc. for a brighter and clearer sclera

As for hardmaxxing, besides a bimax :
1- pin your ears (otoplasty) ;
2- reduce the alar base of your nose, make the bridge & tip more defined, project the tip a bit further (rhinoplasty including alarplasty, tip plasty, cartilage graft) ;
3- fix the undereye region potentially in several steps (a- lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning ; b- fat grafting if need be ; c- infraorbital implant if need be) ;
4- fix your right eye's shape (ptosis repair).

I made the morphs below to give you a rough idea where all these efforts might take you :

[1st pic : before — 2nd pic : after bimax & genioplasty — 3rd pic : after bimax, genio, otoplasty, rhinoplasty — 4th pic : after bimax, genio, otoplasty, rhino, occuloplasty, denser eyebrows, cleared skin, resorbed nasolabial folds, scleral brightening]

life fuel:feelsgood: thanks i will talk to my orthodontist
and consult with a surgeon as soon as possible. appreciate the effort.

5 years on braces? You'd need to reverse everything that was done because the decompensation is completely the opposite of what they were trying to achieve until now. They'd need to increase the fuck out of your overjet if you want an ideal result

yes this is true, unless you replace your entire jaw (tjr) you need an overbite so the surgeon has more room to advance the lower jaw. lowkey you are pretty cooked rn, i hope you didnt extract upper teeth to bring it back because that means you need implants or you need to extract lower teeth to bring it back so you have room for mandible advancement lol

if you extracted your aunt really fucked you over and you need multiple years of ortho to reverse the shit youve been doing

nah i had fixed braces at like 12 for a year and then again at 14. they’ve just been trying to fix it for 5 years now total

Implants are pointless but lower premolar extractions might be necessary to get to the ideal overjet

How old are you buddy?

Nice, I'm glad you sent normal pics without frauding too, lots of retards on this forum don't understand that.

Good you're thinking bout surgery - wait till you've finished developing and aim for surgery around 21-25.

no, you can also re-get overjet by pushing upper teeth outwards to its original position and then getting implants on the extracted uppers lol, pretty retarded method and i also recommend the lower extractions but still possible..

this is good, you shouldnt be getting bimax now anyways, you have time to do ortho. when you are around 18 they will do a nuclear medicine jaw injection thing to check if your jaw finished developing or not.

In that case you would risk pushing the front teeth out of the alveolar bone, leading to gum recession, bone loss and even tooth loss, like what happened in many AGGA cases.
Tooth implants should be avoided as they are very problematic health-wise and unnecessary in these type of cases.
