Should i get braces? I just turned 16 and i think I have a recessed chin and maybe teeth protrusion.

Please help me out I'm worried about getting braces because of some people saying that they make you look worse by recessing your maxilla or something. Like that they just align your jaw by moving the upper part back. Im just confused ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THANK YOU

I wouldn't fear braces. I got braces for an overbite when I was 12, and I still managed to get high forward growth and no recession to my maxilla. Maybe i got lucky but who knows.

i got rubber bands and no teeth extracted. The bands probably helped growth
