Should I get braces or do they make you recessed?

So I have pretty decent forward growth and I'm not really recessed, but I have some malocclusion on my bottom front teeth where one tooth is more forward and sits parallel to the top teeth.

Should I braces to fix this as I'm 16 now or wait till I'm older to get the braces, or just don't get braces at all I heard they make you recessed.

if its overcrowding your teeth then remove them but i did hear about it being bad or smn i just cant remember
