I would get this only for aesthetic reasons.
+ Over the years and after orthodontic treatment I noticed my speech isn't as clear as it used to be. Would this help?

Most people recommend maspe but i doubt it will be significant.
Soft tissue change would be noticeable.
But tbf a straight wide smile is a major halo

Can't say that it would. But it certainly could. It depends on the cause. But there have been expansion orthos who report children speaking clearer after expansion. You said "after orthodontic treatment" so probably.

I would recommend it tho.

Aesthetically: wider smile. Will make ur zygos look better if you have average to exceptional zygos. If you have extremely small shit ones then marpe is basically insignificant for making them look better (at least laterally).

Sarpe, you wouldnt even wanna do. Dont do it.


Additional argument for marpe: If you go to a good custom marpe provider, or an FME provider, you can have most midfacial asymmetry corrected. If it's caused by natural but incorrect growth (so not for born-with asymmetries).

The reason I say this is because you have a bit of midfacial asymmetry, and obvs your jaws arent aligned.

In some cases, people have such bad midfacial asymmetry that even their mandible is super asymmetric, where one ramus is multiple cm longer than the other for example. In which case BSSO is necessary after correcting midfacial asymmetry, for bite reasons. In this case you seem to have a bit of mandible asymmetry, but not to the point where you would need bsso for bite or anything, just by looking at the pic. However your provider would know better, so take it with a grain of salt.
