Should I be gaining some fat just to make sure I'm not on a caloric deficit and accidentally making myself shorter and more chopped in the future?
I would estimate my current bf at 15-20% and I wouldn't be gaining like TOO MUCH fat and becoming a whale, just not getting leaner until I end puberty...
I know being fat closes your growth plates faster but does it matter if I'm on an AI?

sorry if this entire thing is like me being 57IQ I'm just wondering...

Hell no. You're tripping. Are you trying to be a virgin? Don't you understand that your peers are prime pussy.

Life legit ends at 18. Stop eating and get skinny af, get some weed, get some alt cloths and fuck as many underage girls as you can. Don't be an age cuck. Go for girls younger than you exclusively.

nigger never heard of a clean bulk:lul:

When you’re bulking, being too high in body fat can actually hold you back. Once you’re around or over 20% body fat, your body handles calories worse because insulin sensitivity drops, inflammation goes up, and hormones that help build muscle aren’t as favorable. So instead of those extra calories going toward muscle, a lot of them just turn into fat. Research on nutrient partitioning backs this up and shows leaner people gain more muscle per pound they add. Tbh, staying under that range just makes bulking cleaner and more effective.

that's what im doing but since you can never gain or lose absolutely 0% my idea was gaining just a little bit to make sure im not on deficit....

so should I get to like 12-15 rn and maintain it or maintain 17ish until puberty and then cut???

Are you fat or not, cut to 15 percent and than bulk. If you’re new you’ll make progress anyway.

you’re young, cutting too low isn’t worth it. Dropping under 12% body fat can mess with hormones like testosterone, leptin, and IGF-1, which hurts growth and recovery. It’s better to stay in a small surplus and let your body develop. Aiming for around 15–20% body fat is a solid balance and easier to maintain. 12–15% can be hard for a lot of people, and going over 20% isn’t optimal since more calories go to fat instead of muscle. Tbh, staying in a range you can hold long term is the smartest move.

im actually quite skinny. my real concern isn't really improving my physique like crazy and mogging rn. I do go to the gym but my point is that im worried I could stagnate my height bc of being on a deficit..

Just bulk, but don’t go crazy with it. A small surplus of around 200–300 calories is enough to support muscle growth without adding a ton of fat, which research backs up. Watch your weight and, more importantly, your strength each week. If your lifts are going up, you’re doing it right, so don’t change anything. Once weight or strength stalls, then add a little more food and repeat.
