I have a severe jaw misalignment most likely caused due to my bruxism (teeth are extremely small due to severity). I believe it causes a lot of discomfort including popping of my jaw, jaw soreness, ear ringing, and difficulty sleeping. Do yall think it would be worth it to try getting a jaw surgery covered by insurance?

I’m really hoping there something else, I mean I’m sure a jaw surgery would ascend me but 2 years of swelling sounds fucking miserable

Swelling after double jaw surgery peaks around day 3-4 and significantly reduces within 2–3 weeks, with roughly 60–70% gone by week two. While the most noticeable swelling disappears in 3–4 weeks, subtle residual swelling can last for 3–6 months or even up to a year.

2 yrs of swelling is not normal. Major swelling is gone within a few months, the rest will be gone within a yr
