Should I get MSE or a removable expander?

I’ve had a consult with one of the best dentists in my area, I have a crossbite and an overbite, which leaves my face pretty narrow and a bit asymmetrical. it definitely makes me look retarted

The plan is a palate expander and then Invisalign. I’ve researched a lot between MSE and removable expanders and have no clue which to go with.

I’m going back to the dentist tomorrow and will discuss more with them then. But wanted some advice on which will see better results, changes to the rest of my face, and any dangers of either.

You'll get more actual maxillary expansion from MSE, and consequently more zygo width from it. Both have the risk of causing asymmetry. I suppose a removable expander has less capacity to fuck up because it has less capacity to change the rest of your face. As long as it's a good orthodontist, I'd recommend MSE.
