Should i get my boss a leaving gift

Ive only worked there for like 2 months but I feel like i should get him something. Was thinking a bottle of jack daniels
He would never get me a leaving gift. if I do get fired In probation no one would get me anything(which is normal ofc)
He sometimes invites me to the pub but I couldnt go. Ive never seen him out side of work and we arent close
