should i get my wisdom teeth removed?

it hurts pretty fucking bad and they are poking through. wondering if it would be better to take the pain and leave it or get them removed?

I mean that a few things could've been done to prevent this, like palate expanders or different lifestyle when you were younger (hard foods, etc). But right now it's obviously too late so as far as I know there are not options besides getting removed, hope I'm not missing anything here
