Should I get my wisdom teeth taken out?

My bottom right wisdom tooth erupted a couple months ago so I went to the dentist the other day and they took some X-rays. Word for word they said my jawbone isn’t big enough for those teeth(rip), and that I needed to get them removed. My bottom left wisdom tooth seemed to be growing straight however. I told them the teeth aren’t causing me any pain/discomfort, but they still said surgery was necessary.

Is there anything I can do to avoid this surgery and help this bottom right tooth grow in straight? Do I need a palate expander or braces of some kind? Im a male and 17 y/o so would It be too late for any of that lmk.

Dnrd. I got mine our 1 year ago and yes it is worth it because your theeth will deform. But it hurts like shit
