i had an overbite my whole life (6mm) but i’m frauding it by jutting and nobody notices it. my orthodontist offered me to do a bsso surgery (the whole process will take around 2 years, 1 year braces, 6 weeks recovery and another year of braces) and my mom is down to pay for it. it will cost around €3000. i’m pretty happy with my looks right now but my side could be better when i’m not jutting. i also got tmj from an childhood injury so i don’t know how the surgery will turn out. im also starting college around the time i’ll be recovering so i’ll just be a bloatcel. should i just do it?

Edit: forgot to mention that i’m also on 40mg accutane right now and don’t know if that would be ideal

Obviously? I would get it if I were you, but if you are planning another surgery like le fort then doing bsso now and then after a few years a bimax would be stupid, so if your planning other surgeries then I would do them in one guy rather than doing multiple apart

As long as you quit the accutane around 6 months prior to surgery you'll be fine, but I assume you will be off it long before surgery is even taking place
