Turning 23 next month
Graduated in 2024 with an undergraduate degree in marine biology. 0 job prospects at this level
I wish I had studied veterinary medicine from the start. With my degree, I can possibly get onto a degree-holders course and thus it will be 4 years instead of 5
Why veterinary medicine over medicine? I’m more interested in helping animals
I’ve already used up my student loan on my first degree though. I won’t get another loan, and thus will have to pay 9k a year upfront. Living expenses on top of that. University is free for everyone in Germany but I don’t speak German
At the moment I work as a security guard and have no career direction. Vets are in demand, paid well, and will grant you visas to most countries. But it’s also a huge investment of both time and money (paying for a course instead of earning money)
