One of the only few competent armies in ww1, onky reason they lost the Arabian front was because of the Arabs also revolting, making it impossible to win.

For how incredibly outgunned they were, they still absolutely destroyed at Gallipoli and did very well at the Caucasus front compared to how well they should have realistically done with their armies state. As well as simultaneously fighting in the Balkans and committing genocide on a mass scale.

Theyre the same as the Brits struggling against random third worlders by the 50s, their empire was just at its lowest point.

it was arguably one of the least competent major armies of ww1, germans were trying hard to keep them afloat by supplying them german weapons, soldiers etc. their only success was gallipoli. then they got nuked on every other part of the arabian front, especially towards the end of the war, their whole army was collapsing in on itself, unlike the germans who even managed to make major advances in early 1918
